Job summary

Abbott Diagnostics Division is seeking a Manager, Technical Affairs in Lake Forest, IL, or remote near an Abbott office. The role focuses on leading technical and scientific support for diagnostic assays and systems with a primary Americas focus.

You will bridge customers and internal teams to drive satisfaction, performance, and improvements, collaborating with QA, Operations, and Marketing to address complex issues and new opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in science, medicine or engineering.
5–7 years in a related diagnostics discipline, or 15 years with a science qualification.
Advanced Degree (PhD) preferred.
Willing to travel up to 10%.
Customer-facing experience is ideal.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and customer support for ADD assays and systems.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Quality, Service, Marketing, and Technical teams.
Build relationships with customers and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
Support tenders, customer requests, and product performance discussions.
Communicate customer feedback to drive product and process improvements.
Monitor KPIs and support continuous improvement efforts.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor for customer needs.
