Job summary
Beckhoff Automation USA in Atlanta, GA seeks a Field Service Engineer to keep Beckhoff systems running reliably for customers across the region. You will address urgent technical issues by phone, email, and on-site support, while documenting recurring problems to strengthen internal knowledge.
This hybrid role combines travel with office collaboration: you’ll split time between customer sites, remote diagnostics, and our Atlanta office.
Qualifications
- BS in engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience designing, programming, and troubleshooting systems based on TwinCAT and EtherCAT preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication for customer support.
- Comfort with Unix-based OS configuration and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Act as the regional technical support contact, keeping Beckhoff systems running reliably.
- Drive issues to resolution via on-site support, hands-on troubleshooting and remote diagnostics.
- Collaborate with regional field team on regional and territory strategies.
- Advise customers on maintenance, best practices and product usage.
- Document recurring issues to strengthen internal resources and product knowledge.
- Assist with product trainings or onboarding as needed.
