Job summary
Beckhoff Automation USA is seeking an Application Engineer for Boston & Connecticut. The role supports a remote work model with designated on-site days at the Boston area and requires travel across the region.
You will lead technical discussions, deliver demonstrations, and own engagements from discovery through deployment, ensuring successful customer outcomes. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial automation, PLCs, motion control, and IEC 61131-3, with 3+ years in a sales
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or automation/mechatronics degree.
- Proven success in architecting and commissioning automation control systems.
- Deep knowledge of PLCs, motion control, robotics, fieldbus systems, and HMI tech.
- Proficiency in C#, C++, Python; Windows literacy for industrial control.
- Minimum 3 years in a sales or industry-related role.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute team-based selling strategies with sales team.
- Lead technical discussions and live product demonstrations.
- Own technical customer engagements from discovery to deployment.
- Provide pre-sales technical support aligned with sales processes.
- Drive technical issue resolution and customer adoption.
