Job summary

Broetje Automation-USA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support installations and commissioning in Savannah, GA. The role combines electrical and controls engineering with hands-on robotics and machine tools at customer sites.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in industrial automation, strong electrical/mechanical aptitude, and willingness to travel 50%+. You will diagnose issues, service Siemens PLCs, HMI, and CNC systems while ensuring safety and quality at every site.

Qualifications

• BS or equivalent with 3+ years in industrial automation.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Experience with electrical control panels.
• Willingness to travel 50%+ to customer sites.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical and controls engineering expertise for new equipment and system introductions.
• Serve as internal SME in control systems, sensors, and electro‑mechanical devices.
• Apply knowledge of electronics, circuits, mechanics, pneumatics and programming.
• Travel to customer sites for machine commissioning and troubleshooting support.
• Maintain logs and written records of duties performed.
