Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric US – Industrial Automation is seeking a Service Engineer to provide on-site and remote technical service across the greater Cincinnati/Dayton/Mason area. You will diagnose, maintain, and optimize electro-mechanical automation systems while delivering responsive support to customers.

Ideal candidates have hands-on electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills, a learning mindset, and flexibility for regional travel.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent military training) in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, or equivalent education/work experience.
• Proven electrical troubleshooting and strong problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on learner with the drive to build technical depth over time.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents (schematics).
• Comfortable using testing/measuring equipment (volt meters, oscilloscopes).
• Field service experience is highly valued (may be required by region/level).
• Product experience: MEAU Service Engineers receive training on Mitsubishi PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, CNCs; prior experience is a plus.
• Travel up to 80% (local travel with potential nationwide travel).
• Company service vehicle provided and remote support from home or corporate office.
• Typical schedule is Monday–Friday with overtime/weekend opportunities when available.

Responsibilities

• Technical Support: Diagnose, maintain, and optimize electro-mechanical automation systems onsite or remotely.
• Customer Interaction: Deliver responsive, knowledgeable support across channels.
• Service Sales: Promote value-added services and spare parts to maintain operation continuity.
• Training & Development: Engage in ongoing technical training and collaborate with peers.
