Requirements

Automation Engineer is a highly technical position that is responsible for developing, coordinating, qualifying, and supervising the design, construction, functionality, and buy-off of automated assembly equipment. Additional responsibilities include diagnosing, analyzing, and recommending solutions for tooling/processing concerns, understanding product requirements, preparing RFQ’s, and communicating technical information to suppliers.

  • Responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of robotic systems to ensure their optimal performance.
  • Conduct preparation, maintenance, and debugging of robotic equipment, promoting standardized management practices. Formulate SOP documents for various types of robotic equipment.
  • Perform root cause analysis for complex issues, implement effective solutions, and develop training programs for personnel. Maintain detailed records and manage procurement of spare parts.
  • Resolve technical challenges, promote process improvements, enhance production efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Manage automation and robotics application projects, including path programming, safety inspections, and compliance.
  • Initiate improvement proposals to enhance on-site operations, standardize work processes, and evaluate man‑machine efficiency.
  • Facilitate evaluation of system audits related to robotics, ensuring rectification of non‑conforming items.
  • Oversaw the establishment and training of local technical team personnel.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering, automation, electrical engineering, or related fields.
  • More than five years of relevant experience in manufacturing automation management.
  • Proficiency in Office and CAD software, mechanical or electrical design knowledge.
  • Familiarity with maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment, TPM principles and practices.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and strong cross‑cultural communication skills.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English is a plus.
