Software Mind Americas is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to design, build, and optimize automation across a diverse technology ecosystem. The role emphasizes Python-based automations, REST API integrations, and a strong focus on eliminating manual processes through scalable solutions.

You will maintain and modernize the Power Automate estate, collaborate with business stakeholders, and advance toward cloud-native execution using Functions and Container Apps while applying AI-assisted

Qualifications

• +90% English, written and oral (C1 level) with excellent communication.
• Python proficiency: clean scripting, packaging, error handling, structured logging, and testing.
• Power Automate strength across cloud and desktop flows; platform administration.
• 3 to 5 years in automation engineering, RPA, or software engineering with production automations.
• REST API integration experience, including authentication patterns.
• SQL Server: T‑SQL, queries, tables, stored procedures.
• Azure DevOps pipelines at minimum; Functions, Container Apps, or AKS a plus.
• Daily fluency with AI-assisted development and ability to describe workflow with agents.
• Demonstrated use of AI coding tools in real work with concrete workflow details.
• PowerShell and Shell scripting for Windows and Linux glue work.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Python automations: APIs, data pipelines, scheduled jobs.
• Maintain the Power Automate estate; repair flows and keep runs healthy.
• Migrate Power Automate flows to Python where advantageous.
• Integrate systems over REST APIs; handle JSON/XML and OAuth.
• Author SQL queries, tables, and stored procedures.
• Instrument jobs with logging, monitoring, and alerting; write runbooks.
• Move toward containerised or Azure-native execution (Functions, Container Apps).
• Use AI coding tools as part of daily development within governance.
