Job summary

Jobtailor in San Diego, CA is seeking a seasoned automation and application solutions engineer to design, develop, and deliver end-to-end automation using Microsoft Power Platform and related enterprise tools.

You will translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, design robust automation workflows with exception handling and monitoring, and optimize production automations to meet SLAs while aligning with security and compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5–7 years of experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with 9–11 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform: Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop) Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven) Microsoft Copilot.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with APIs (REST/SOAP).
  • Programming experience in Python and/or C#.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and/or Git.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of automation and application solutions using Power Platform (Power Automate, Copilot and Power Apps) and other enterprise tools.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Design robust automation workflows, including exception handling, logging, monitoring, and resiliency.
  • Monitor and optimize production automations to ensure reliability, performance, and adherence to SLAs.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend automation strategies to increase efficiency.
  • Contribute to enterprise automation standards, governance, and best practices, including security and compliance requirements.
  • Leverage Azure DevOps and Git for source control, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovations aligned with enterprise automation strategy.
