Job summary

UPM Adhesive Materials in Dixon, Illinois is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, program, and maintain PLC/HMI/SCADA systems for equipment efficiency. You will troubleshoot Siemens PLCs, support commissioning, and implement improvements for reliability. A Bachelor’s in automation/controls is required along with 2+ years in automation.

You’ll work on PROFINET/PROFIBUS networks with strong documentation and collaboration across teams in a SAFE, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in automation-related field.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial automation or related engineering.
• Experience programming and troubleshooting PLC-based control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, and maintain PLC, HMI, SCADA systems and motion control.
• Program and troubleshoot Siemens PLC systems on PROFINET/PROFIBUS networks.
• Support commissioning, startup, testing, and validation of new equipment upgrades.
