Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, develop, program, and maintain industrial control systems with strong PLC and HMI expertise. The role is based in Ansonia, CT, with domestic and international travel to support installations and customer sites.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in electrical engineering and machine controls, plus hands-on experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs and Wonderware/PanelView HMIs.

Minimum 3 years of experience.
Experience with PLC & HMI programming and industrial control systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, program, and maintain industrial control systems.
Review data for machine design requirements and power needs; wire control panels.
Coordinate with suppliers on design details, costs, and schedules.
Program PLCs from Allen Bradley and Siemens; configure HMI/SCADA like Wonderware/PanelView.
Present to customers as needed for selling activities.
Visit customer sites for installation and startup support.
Travel domestically and internationally to customer sites.
Ensure installation and operation of panels per specs and safety standards.
Test and troubleshoot machinery control systems.
