Job summary

Randstad USA in the Mobile, Alabama area is seeking a Controls Engineer with 3+ years of experience programming PLCs and HMIs in manufacturing or heavy industry. An AS degree in Engineering or related training is required, with relocation assistance offered.

The role is a permanent, direct-hire position working 8am–4pm, with a compensation range of $120,000–$150,000 per year. Candidates should be ready to contribute to automation projects and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical field, or related technical/military training.
• 3+ years of industrial automation experience required
• Experience programming PLCs and HMIs

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automation systems for various production processes.
• Design and configure programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and other automation components.
• Analyze automated processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide technical support for automation systems and equipment.
• Manage any automation projects from initiation to completion, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
