Job summary

CommTech Global in United States seeks an Automation Engineer to design, implement, and startup control systems, including PLC/HMI programming and electrical controls. You will work with clients and engineers to ensure projects meet high standards and integrate safety reviews.

You will lead small project teams, troubleshoot on-site problems, and develop process improvements while collaborating with operations staff during design and installation phases. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent field.
• 4+ years programming PLCs and interfacing with industrial controls.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook).
• Bluebeam CAD knowledge preferred.
• Ability to lead small project teams with client operations.

Responsibilities

• New project design, installations, startups; PLC and HMI programming.
• Support maintenance; troubleshoot equipment breakdowns.
• Develop process improvements for equipment controls.
• Produce ACAD electrical, floor layout and 3D drawings.
• Implement PLC/HMI projects; drives and control circuits.
• Troubleshoot PLC/HMI/ drives and control circuits.
• Create and update electrical drawings.
• Program PLC/HMI using RSLogix/RSView32/FTView; networking.
• Ignition support and implementation.
• Ensure compliance with standards; safety reviews and changes.
• Support other locations as needed.
