Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance in our fulfillment centers by providing proactive controls automation and technical support for MHE systems.

You will troubleshoot complex control systems, analyze performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams on state-of-the-art material handling equipment and SCADA devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years PLC/automation experience as listed.
• Experience with robotics work cells and control systems.
• Knowledge of electrical theory, robotics components, and automation equipment.
• Ladder Logic/structured programming for Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot critical automation systems for operations.
• Monitor MHE performance and address system issues with maintenance/operations.
• Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians, locally and remotely.
• Perform building system assessments to enhance material handling performance.
