Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Automation Engineer for our Las Vegas fulfillment centers in Nevada. You will maximize equipment reliability, troubleshoot complex control systems, and drive continuous improvement across MHE networks using PLCs, SCADA, and RSLogix/Studio platforms.

Your work supports Amazon’s speed and accuracy in order fulfillment. You will collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to optimize conveyors, sorters, scanners and print/apply systems, monitor performance metrics, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or 2+ years PLC programming/automation experience.
2+ years PLC-controlled automation/issue diagnosis in process or production environments.
2+ years of robotics work cells and control systems experience.
2+ years of electrical theory, robotics, controls components in automation.

Responsibilities

Serve as the site expert for maintaining automation systems.
Understand, maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems and networks like Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, motor control, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution.
Monitor MHE metrics and partner with maintenance/operations to address system performance issues and provide analysis across all operations.
Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians, locally and remotely.
Perform and analyze building System Assessments to enhance material handling system performance.
