Job summary
Amazon.com Services LLC in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance in fulfillment centers. You will provide proactive controls automation and technical support for MHE systems, troubleshoot complex control systems, and drive continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.
You will work with conveyors, sortation, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, and SCADA devices, using state-of-the-art technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 2+ years PLC programming/automation experience.
- Experience troubleshooting control systems in high-volume environments.
- Familiarity with MHE control systems and industrial networks.
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and drive improvements.
- Experience with ladder logic and structured programming on PLC platforms.
Responsibilities
- Maintain automation systems critical to operations as the site expert.
- Troubleshoot material handling control systems including PLCs and industrial networks.
- Monitor MHE metrics and partner with maintenance to address performance issues.
- Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians (local and remote).
- Conduct system assessments to enhance material handling performance.
