Job summary
Amazon is seeking an Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability in fulfillment centers. You will provide proactive controls automation and technical support, troubleshoot complex control systems, analyze performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize MHE systems using conveyors, sorters, scanners, cameras, print & apply, and SCADA devices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 2+ years PLC programming/automation experience.
- Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, holidays.
- Experience with PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis.
- Robotics work cells and control systems experience.
- Electrical theory, robotics, controls components, and automated equipment experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain automation systems critical for operations.
- Troubleshoot material handling control systems and networks (PLC/PC, Ethernet, DeviceNet, Profibus).
- Monitor MHE metrics and analyze performance with maintenance/ops teams.
- Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians (local/remote).
- Perform building System Assessments to enhance material handling performance.
