Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Automation Engineer to support the site maintenance team, ensuring performance of material handling control systems including PLC/PC controllers, Allen Bradley Rockwell platforms, and related networks at a modern facility.

You will troubleshoot, lead technicians when needed, improve equipment reliability, install new technology with vendors, and communicate timelines to operations and leadership in a climate-controlled environment.

Qualifications

3+ years in programming/commissioning HMIs, PLCs, and VFDs.
Experience with SCADA systems and KPIs.
Ability to read and modify mechanical/electrical drawings.
Experience supporting conveyors and sortation systems.
Familiarity with equipment control components (relays, motor starters, VFDs, HMIs).
Positive attitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Promote safety and follow procedures in daily work.
Guide on maintaining material handling control and electrical systems.
Troubleshoot and modify software for material handling control systems (Rockwell PLCs).
Serve as first escalation point and coordinate with vendors for downtime.
Apply expertise to maximize building utilization of systems.
Monitor MHE metrics and work with technicians to resolve electrical issues.
Plan and coordinate new technology installations with vendors and operations.
Communicate technical issues and timelines with leadership and operations.
