Job summary
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) seeks an Automation Engineer to join the team responsible for maintaining and improving material handling equipment such as conveyors and sortation systems. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer-focused problem solving.
You will troubleshoot PLC/PC control systems, work with Allen-Bradley platforms, and coordinate with site teams and contractors to ensure continuous operations and timely responses to issues.
Qualifications
- Experience with PLC/PC control systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot software for material handling control systems.
- Familiar with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms.
Responsibilities
- Promote a safe working environment by complying with codes and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and modify software for material handling control systems (PLC/PC, Allen Bradley).
- Act as first level escalation in troubleshooting on-site and remotely; respond to emergencies.
- Inspect systems to ensure operation within design specifications.
- Oversee development scope and inspection of work by contractors.
- Engineer process solutions and reliability improvements from concept to implementation.
- Monitor industrial networks and motor control systems.
- Communicate with stakeholders on issues, timelines and impacts.
- Analyze failures to implement improvements and retraining.
