Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Automation Engineer to support site maintenance and ensure performance of material handling control systems in a modern warehouse. You will troubleshoot conveyors, sortation, scanners, HMIs, and PLCs, leading or assisting technicians and implementing solutions while maintaining a safety-first culture.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in automation—PLC/SCADA/HMI programming, electrical drawings, and experience with Rockwell PLCs and VFDs; a related degree is

Qualifications

• 3+ years of programming/commissioning HMIs, PLCs, and VFDs.
• Experience with SCADA systems and KPIs.
• Interpreting and modifying electrical drawings.
• Experience supporting conveyors and sortation systems.
• Experience with equipment control components such as relays and motor starters.

Responsibilities

• Promoting a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Maintaining material handling control systems, industrial motor control systems, servo and frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems.
• Troubleshooting and modifying software projects for material handling control systems including Rockwell PLC platforms and Ethernet networks.
• Escalating downtime to vendors or network teams to restore operation.
• Applying expertise to maximize building utilization of systems.
• Coordinating new technology installations with leadership, vendors, and parts suppliers.
• Communicating technical issues and project timelines with operations and maintenance teams.
