Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and performance in our fulfillment centers. You will troubleshoot complex control systems, analyze metrics, and drive improvements across conveyors, sortation, scanners, cameras, print/apply systems, and SCADA devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of PLC programming/automation experience.
• Experience with PLC-controlled automation and diagnostics in process or production environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot automation systems critical for operations.
• Troubleshoot material handling control systems and industrial networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus).
• Monitor MHE metrics and collaborate with maintenance to address performance issues.
• Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians, local and remote.
• Perform building system assessments to improve material handling performance.
