Job summary

Atkore is seeking an Automation Engineer based in Hobart, IN to support manufacturing processes and automation initiatives. You’ll develop solutions for production problems, design automation and SCADA systems, and contribute to continuous improvement across plant facilities.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and 1–3 years in process/manufacturing engineering, with experience in Rockwell PLC programming, AutoCAD layouts, and SCADA systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of Process/Automation/Manufacturing Engineering in an industrial setting.
• Experience with Rockwell PLC programming; Siemens considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive productivity improvements and best practices across the plant.
• Lead projects as Project Leader with schedules and documentation.
• Support Lean manufacturing, process improvements and problem solving.
• Provide bid/costing details for electrical projects and manage deadlines.
• Develop schematics and troubleshooting guidelines for trades groups.
• Implement and expand SCADA systems and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure plant electrical infrastructure safety and reliability.
• Guide E- techs and electricians in troubleshooting.
