Job summary
Elanco Elwood Manufacturing Facility is seeking an Automation Engineer to support manufacturing process controls and oversee automation networking within the SCADA/OT framework. The role collaborates with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering to drive reliable production and data integration.
The position requires a BS Engineering or AS with related technical credentials and hands-on experience with PLC/HMI systems, Rockwell and similar platforms, and a strong understanding of GxP
Qualifications
- BS Engineering, or equivalent (Majors in Electronics/Automation/Manufacturing) with minimum 3 years in automation.
- AS with Technical School Certificate in Industrial Controls or Industrial Electrical fields with minimum 5 years in automation.
- Experience with industrial electrical controls including, but not limited to, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs.
Responsibilities
- Support Operations and Maintenance by implementing improvements and troubleshooting electronics and process automation failures.
- Work with Engineering and IT teams to find and implement improvements to the Automation SCADA/OT network, equipment, and facilities.
- Lead or participate with teams to investigate process failures.
- Within a GxP environment, use PLC and HMI programming software under Change Control and Computer System Validation requirements.
