Job summary
Atkore is seeking an Electronic Technician II to be based at our Hobart, IN facility. You will maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment in the tube manufacturing operation and report to the Maintenance Manager.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or expert certification in an electrical field and 7+ years of troubleshooting experience in an industrial setting, with leadership experience and lean manufacturing exposure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or expert certification in an electrical field is required.
- 7+ years of electronic troubleshooting experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement solutions to decrease production downtime through equipment enhancement projects and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Train and mentor electronic technicians with emphasis on teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting electrical equipment, wiring and resources in the tube manufacturing operation.
- Identify and perform scheduled and other preventive equipment maintenance.
- Work with maintenance and production personnel in analyzing and troubleshooting equipment failures.
- Assist with equipment installation and provide procedural improvements.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing activities and promote the plant Lean culture.
