Job summary

The Raymond Corporation in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Automation Engineer within our Intralogistics Solutions Group. The role supports sales and operations, coordinating technical activities across departments and vendors to define requirements for automation systems, AGVs, and AMRs.

You will work with internal teams and partner resources to develop project specifications, assist with site surveys, and help ensure timely, on-budget project delivery while expanding knowledge of warehouse

Qualifications

College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
2–4 years experience in material handling sales or automation preferred.
Proficient with MS Office, including MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Visio.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

Assist sales with system specification analysis to provide clear requirements.
Support site surveys and prepare bills of material and quotes.
Assist with preparing quotes for complex projects and coordinate with sales.
Coordinate with The Raymond Corporation, vendor personnel during initial site activities to identify technical requirements.
Assist Project Managers to ensure projects are ordered, installed on time, and within budget.
Develop knowledge of automation and warehouse systems and stay current with procedures.
