Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking an Automation Engineer in Georgia to support advanced automation systems for a major online retailer. The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, process improvement, and safety as core priorities.

You will work with PLCs, SCADA, conveyors, and robotics, driving uptime, reliability, and operational excellence in mission-critical facilities. The position is full-time and exempt, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education may be considered.
• Experience in at least two engineering design cycles including specification, component selection and programming.
• 2+ years of experience with PLC programming, robotics components and SCADA-based monitoring and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by complying with codes and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and modify software for material handling control systems (PLC/PC controllers).
• Act as first level escalation in troubleshooting support, on-site and remotely.
• Inspect systems to ensure operation within design parameters.
• Oversee development, scheduling, and inspection with outside contractors.
• Engineer process solutions and reliability improvements from concept to implementation.
