Job summary

Prime Controls, L.P. in Dallas, Texas, is seeking an Automation Specialist II (Data Center) to design control system details, coordinate startup and commissioning, configure instrumentation, and prepare for implementation.

You will work with project managers to define objectives, develop BOMs and IO lists, and lead small projects. This role requires 4 years in AEC or related field, a bachelor’s in CS/CE/EE, and PLC programming experience.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in architectural, engineering or construction (AEC) industry or similar field.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 4 years of experience in any PLC programming.

Responsibilities

• Design control system details and prepare for implementation.
• Startup, commissioning, and testing of control systems.
• Develop BOMs, IO lists and requirements for panels.
• Serve as technical lead for small projects and build PLC/HMI templates.
• Develop PLC programs in Ladder, Function Block, and other languages.
• Develop HMI and testing plans; write simulation logic.
• Create training materials for operations and maintenance personnel.
• Coordinate with installation management to ensure processes are followed.
• Troubleshoot startup issues and resolve software/hardware interfaces.
