You will work under the Senior Manager of Automation Engineering at Celestica's main automation center in Monterrey, Mexico, contributing to shop-floor automation and reliability goals. This entry-level role involves gathering technical data, documenting requirements, and collaborating across sites to implement PLC, HMI, and control strategies while adhering to safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Computer, or Robotics Engineering.
• Entry level, 0–2 years of relevant experience or solid academic project background.
• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills (minimum B2).

Responsibilities

• Conduct shop-floor process audits and baseline cycle times to identify bottlenecks.
• Author and maintain URS and SOW protocols for validation of automation concepts.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and benchmark Turn-Key solutions against Celestica standards.
• Assist in designing and programming basic control architectures and PLC logic.
• Track supplier POs, shipments, and logistics for control hardware.
• Support FAT/SAT testing and site commissioning activities.
• Maintain project schedules and cost tracking using Excel/Smartsheet.
• Communicate status updates in weekly global team calls and executive decks.
• Mentor teammates and cultivate cross-functional collaboration.
