Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S in Clayton, NC is seeking an experienced engineer to oversee process control systems across existing and new equipment, ensuring alignment with local and global standards. You will work with vendors to specify IFA’s and requirements and serve as a standards gatekeeper.

The role involves collaboration with stakeholders and an emphasis on quality, risk management, and continuous improvement using lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years engineering in process-based manufacturing, utility, or packaging systems preferred.
• 3+ years engineering experience in process-based manufacturing required.
• Knowledgeable in SAP EM, PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES, Oracle, MS SQL databases.
• Familiar with SAP EWM is a plus and lean six sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Support plans to maintain and improve process control systems.
• Schedule and execute plans in coordination with manufacturing schedules.
• Operate as automation resource on projects involving process control systems.
• Adhere to automation standards and update related specifications and maintenance plans.
• Support audits and inspections for process control systems.
• Utilize cLEAN/Six Sigma tools for problem solving and project management.
