Humana’s technology team in Manhattan seeks an Automation Engineer who can own outcomes and grow with a forward-leaning group. You will ship on Fridays, apply 4 years of real experience, and help Humana stay stable while moving fast.

You’ll work on SQL features, TDD stacks, and observability, with strong health coverage and internal growth opportunities. The role is based in our Manhattan office with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in the technology space.
• Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and debugging.
• Ability to own projects from concept through delivery.

Responsibilities

• Drive quality-focused SQL features through code freeze without destabilizing Humana systems.
• Read and trace TDD stack traces to root causes of issues.
• Decode undocumented TDD services and reproduce bugs from field reports.
• Create fast Jest proof-of-concept when a decision is needed.
• Translate ideas into a reliable TDD prototype.
• Set up observability to detect failures before customers see them.
• Reduce latency in critical paths to improve user experience.
• Reproduce and prevent regressions from Manhattan field reports.
