Amcor Limited is seeking an Automation Engineer to drive safe development, integration, and optimization of manufacturing equipment across facilities. You will lead equipment scope, coordinate with plants, OEMs, and suppliers, and push for reliable uptime and performance.

The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, RCCA-driven improvements, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust packaging solutions. Travel up to 50% may be required depending on projects.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial manufacturing equipment and system integration.
• Knowledge of lifecycle management from design through production support.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams including OEMs and suppliers.
• Strong problem-solving with RCCA and structured approaches.
• Familiarity with PLC/HMI concepts and electrical/mechanical interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety as the top priority in all engineering activities.
• Serve as SME for assigned manufacturing equipment scopes across programs.
• Develop equipment specifications, layouts, RFQs, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead equipment design reviews, FAT/SAT, installation, commissioning, and handoff.
