Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Automation Engineer / Ctrl Systems Engineer to join the Global Workplace Solutions team. You will support automated material handling equipment, focusing on reliability, preventive maintenance, and operational performance of conveyors, sortation, scanners, and SCADA systems.

The role requires experience with PLCs, Allen-Bradley systems, and robotics, with a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. CBRE offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in at least two engineering design cycles including specification, component selection and programming.
• 2+ years of experience with PLC programs.
• 2+ years of experience with robotics system components and controls.
• 2+ years of experience with SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by complying with applicable codes, regulations, and company directives.
• Troubleshoot and modify software for material handling control systems including PLC/PC controllers and RSLogix 5000.
• First level escalation in troubleshooting support on-site and remotely, during and after hours.
