CBRE is seeking an Automation Engineer to support advanced automation systems for a major online retailer. The role focuses on maintaining and improving conveyors, PLCs, scanners, vision systems, and SCADA platforms to maximize uptime and safety.

You’ll troubleshoot, program, and optimize control systems, working with Allen-Bradley PLCs and industrial networks. Strong problem solving and collaboration across maintenance teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; combination of experience and education may be considered.
• Experience in at least two engineering design cycles including specification, component selection and programming.
• 2+ years of experience with PLC programming, robotics components, SCADA-based monitoring and control systems.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, or holidays.

Responsabilités

• Promote safe working environment complying with codes, regs, and company directives.
• Troubleshoot and modify software for material handling control systems (PLC/PC, Allen-Bradley).
• Act as first level escalation in troubleshooting on-site and remotely, including after hours.
• Inspect systems to ensure operation within design capabilities and client requirements.
• Oversee development scope, scheduling, and inspection of work by outside contractors.
• Engineer process solutions and reliability improvements from concept to implementation.
• Monitor industrial networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, AS-I) and motor controls.
• Communicate with leadership and maintenance teams on timelines and production impacts.
