Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC invites applications for an Automation Engineering Apprentice(ship) to learn equipment troubleshooting and maintenance of material handling equipment (MHE) such as conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, labeling systems, scales, HMI, and control cabinets. On-the-job learning with mentorship from senior technicians to grow in a highly automated environment.

The program emphasizes safety compliance, preventative maintenance, and achieving high equipment

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 1+ years of Amazon RME MRT experience.
• Can commit to a 2-year onsite apprenticeship after a 12-week training program.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative/corrective maintenance of robotics and MHE work cells.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems across device components.
• Maintain and troubleshoot motors, sensors, relays, and related control devices.
• Assist with basic electronics/Programmable Logic Controllers troubleshooting.
