Job summary
Q-Edge Corporation in Houston seeks an Electrical Engineering major to lead the introduction (NPI), debugging, and sustaining of complex automated manufacturing systems. You will ensure electrical and software stability of production equipment including Robotics, PLCs, AOI, and AGVs.
Responsibilities include identifying root causes of failures, contributing to DFMs, DOE verification, and driving improvements to reduce downtime and optimize cycle time on the production floor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (related field).
- 3+ years electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing or related industries (automotive electronics, semiconductor, precision assembly).
- Experience with robotics, AGV, AOI; AI in automation is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Analyze root causes of failures using formal analysis techniques.
- Participate in early-stage DFM and equipment development with DOE verification.
- Drive equipment installation, debugging, and NPI support; ensure production continuity.
- Push improvements to increase yield and reduce downtime on the line.
- Maintain electrical and software stability of production equipment.
