Job summary

Quanta Manufacturing Fremont is seeking an Automation Engineer to support, develop, commission, maintain, and improve automated production systems including lines, robotic cells, and precision equipment. You will lead local setup of new fully automated lines for NPI, coordinating with HQ in Taiwan and local teams to ensure smooth deployment and ramp-up.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation or related field.
1–3 years hands-on experience with automated manufacturing equipment or production machinery.
Experience troubleshooting automated systems across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control components.
Ability to read electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, mechanical drawings, and equipment documentation.
Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and ladder logic.

Responsibilities

Assist installation, integration, commissioning, FAT/SAT, and qualification of automated lines.
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, alarms, I/O, and interlocks; back up programs.
Troubleshoot robots; adjust programs, positions, and EOAT; coordinate with HQ engineers.
Configure and troubleshoot machine vision and inspection systems; adjust cameras and lighting.
Manage spare parts locally; arrange sourcing and restoration with HQ and Purchasing.
Perform preventive maintenance, analyze failures, and document history.
