Job summary

Ardagh Metal Packaging is seeking an Electrical Controls Supervisor for its Mississippi plant. You will lead the Electrical/PLC department, provide technical automation expertise, and drive continuous improvement in controls and process automation to boost efficiency.

You will mentor electrical technicians, coordinate day-to-day tasks, and collaborate with maintenance and operations to maximize machine performance. Prior PLC/HMI programming and CMMS experience are essential.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial PLC/electrician roles.
At least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
Experience with CMMS for work order management.
PLC and HMI programming experience.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; able to mentor technicians.

Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate Electrical/PLC day-to-day tasks and improvement projects throughout the plant site.
Hands on involvement in machinery troubleshooting, as needed.
Provide process control and automation programming and troubleshooting expertise.
Work with maintenance and operations staff to maximize machine performance and improvement.
Design and implement updates of control systems to newer technology (e.g., PLC-5 to ControlLogix).
Upgrade and fine tune control systems to improve equipment performance.
Assist in developing data acquisition and reporting.
Develop electrical technician crew through mentoring and training.
Provide leadership and support for Capital Projects.
Maintain electrical shop supplies and spare parts inventory.
Review existing electrical engineering criteria for revisions or deletions.
Establish a working environment that promotes integrity and ethics.
Ensure execution of key internal controls within area of responsibility.
