Ardagh Metal Packaging seeks a Backend Maintainer to oversee setup, adjustment, repair, maintenance and overhaul of backend equipment. You will execute preventative maintenance, respond to malfunctions, and ensure safety procedures are followed across the production floor.

The role requires mechanical experience, PLC and basic electrical knowledge, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise and chemicals.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years previous mechanical experience.
• Ability to pass the Mechanical Aptitude test at 70% or higher.
• Familiar with Personal Protective Equipment.
• Mechanically inclined familiar with hand tools.
• Familiar with proper handling of chemicals/solvents.
• Previous mechanical experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Experience working with PLC controls and a basic electrical knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Understand and comply with safety SOPs and work instructions (LockoutTagout, Chemical Handling, Machine Guarding, Housekeeping, SQF, PPE).
• Check schedule for maintenance needs; determine changeovers, conversions, or overhaul requirements.
• Check machines for mechanical or operational issues.
• Plan corrective actions to maintain quality and production.
• Set up equipment for change in material size or product; operate, test, and inspect for quality.
• Repair or overhaul printer attachments, coating ovens, transfer equipment, and related controls; replace worn parts.
• Retime machine actions; clear jams; train and certify other operators and mechanics as directed.
• Operate, repair, clean and lubricate equipment; manage supplies and materials.
• Record test results and read schematics, prints, and manuals; follow manufacturers' guides.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and maintenance work orders.
• Analyze spoilage causes and actions; report recurring malfunctions and quality issues to supervisor.
