Job summary

Amphenol Corporation seeks a Process Engineer for its HSIO Connector Engineering team in Valley Green, PA. You will lead assembly process development, implement automated improvements and drive LEAN initiatives to improve quality, cost and capacity.

The role requires a BS in electro-mechanical/related field with 2+ years in process engineering, familiarity with 3D CAD tools and experience in PFMEA, DOE and process qualification. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electro-mechanical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with at least two years of current experience in a process engineering role.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Ability to present information to managers, clients and the public globally.
• Ability to perform engineering experiments and analyze root-cause/corrective action and tack time studies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement assembly processes meeting cost, delivery and capacity goals.
• Develop automated processes and monitor quality, safety, cost and efficiency using LEAN tools.
• Create PFMEA, Process Qualification Plan, Control Plans and DOEs.
• Define qualification plans and coordinate prototype fabrication with vendors.
• Provide training and support to production staff and participate in project reviews.
