Job summary

The University of Nebraska at Omaha is seeking an Automation Controls Technician for a temporary, part-time role (non BenefitsEligible) to install, operate and maintain the Energy Management & Controls System (EMCS) across campus buildings.

Required is at least one year of experience in installation, diagnostics and repairs of automated HVAC controls; EMCS experience is preferred. The position supports UNO's facilities team with a variable schedule up to 20 hours per week.

• Previous HVAC / EMCS controlsexperience at UNO.

Essential Functions

Perform installation, operation and maintenance of the EnergyManagement & Controls System ( EMCS ) for the purpose ofmonitoring and controlling the environmental conditions inbuildings on campus. This position requires good working knowledgeof HVAC systems and control devises and the ability to completeassigned tasks with minimal supervision. This position shouldunderstand control theory and how it applies to building HVACsystems.

Work Schedule

Various shifts, up to 20 hours a week

Required Qualifications

1 year experience in the installation, diagnostics and repairs ofautomated controls for HVAC systems. Previous HVAC / EMCS controlsexperience at UNO .
