Job summary

The University of Nebraska at Omaha is seeking an Automation Controls Technician for a temporary, part-time (non Benefits Eligible) role. The technician will install, operate, and maintain the Energy Management & Controls System (EMCS) to monitor and control environmental conditions in campus buildings.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience with automated HVAC controls; UNO experience is preferred. Work schedule varies up to 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in the installation, diagnostics and repairs of automated controls for HVAC systems.
• Previous HVAC / EMCS controls experience at UNO.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, operation and maintenance of the Energy Management & Controls System (EMCS) for the purpose of monitoring and controlling the environmental conditions in buildings on campus.
• This position requires good working knowledge of HVAC systems and control devises and the ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• This position should understand control theory and how it applies to building HVAC systems.
