Job summary

Qualifications

• Five or more years’ experience in a mechanic/manufacturing/machinist environment.
• Hands-on skills learned from repairing equipment, machining, fabrication, troubleshooting, assembly.
• AS in engineering/technology would be a plus.
• Ability to read designs and models (SolidWorks) and translate into build steps.

Responsibilities

• Work with automation engineers to interpret designs and help bring designs to life.
• Manage projects: organize materials and coordinate with vendors; determine assembly methods.
• Wire and plumb machines under guidance; set up basic automation electronics (sensors, VFDs).
• Operate machine tools (lathes, milling, welding) and verify conformance of parts to specs.
• Attend training to expand knowledge in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems and PLC/robotics.
