Job summary

RitterTech / RSA, an MCE Company, seeks a Technical Sales Engineer for automation and electronic controls in Northern and Central Illinois and Indiana. You will manage 50–60 customer accounts, drive OEM relationships, and apply deep product knowledge to specify components into machine designs.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical sales, collaboration with regional managers, and a focus on growth, customer solutions, and field support in the Bolingbrook/St. Charles area.

Qualifications

• Hands-on background in automation and electronic controls.
• Ability to understand customer applications and specify products into designs.
• Expertise in PLCs, motion controllers, VFDs, servo motors, actuators, or electromechanical systems.
• 1–3 years of technical sales or customer-facing experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with ERP, CRM, inventory software, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Own growth and performance of automation products across the assigned territory.
• Build OEM relationships to specify products into machine designs and drive repeat purchases.
• Drive growth through owned accounts and collaboration with the local sales team in IL/IN.
• Develop and execute a growth plan with the Regional Sales Manager.
• Participate in sales calls, providing technical expertise to inside and outside teams.
