Job summary

RitterTech / RSA, an MCE Company, seeks a Technical Sales Engineer to drive automation product growth in Northern and Central Illinois and Indiana. You will own relationships with 50–60 accounts, specify products into machine designs, and support the sales team with deep technical expertise.

You will develop electrical system designs, assist with cost estimates, and collaborate with engineering to deliver tailored solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on technical background in automation, electronic controls, or electromechanical devices.
• Ability to understand customer applications and help specify products into equipment designs.
• Expertise in automation products and network protocols—PLCs, motion controllers, VFDs, servo motors, actuators.
• 1–3 years of technical sales or customer-facing technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive automation product growth across assigned territory, including actuators, motors, PLCs, VFDs, and controls.
• Build OEM relationships to specify products into machine designs and create repeat demand.
• Develop and execute growth plan in partnership with Regional Sales Manager.
• Participate in sales calls, supporting inside and outside teams with technical expertise.
• Provide technical and application support and cost estimates with engineering input.
• Manage accounts and pipeline, record activities in CRM/ERP, and share market insights.
