Job summary

GAF is seeking a Director of Automation and Control Systems. This role will lead the Automation and Controls team, guiding strategy, capital planning, and cross-functional integration with engineering, IT, and R&D to optimize manufacturing. It emphasizes safety, documentation, and team development across multiple sites.

You will drive continuous improvement, support production facilities, and ensure technology advances are implemented with high integrity and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing.
• Experience leading Automation & Controls projects across multiple locations.
• Proven leadership and ability to develop partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all functions of Automation and Controls group.
• Contribute to 3 & 5 year capital plans and budgeting.
• Collaborate with IT, R&D, and operations to integrate controls across sites.
• Manage project prioritization and deployment from development to deployment.
• Ensure documentation and safety standards are upheld.
• Lead and develop team with a customer-service mindset.
