Job summary

Morgan Engineering invites applications for an Automation Controls Engineer in Alliance, Ohio. You will design, develop, and support advanced control systems for heavy industrial applications, including cranes and mill equipment, with lifecycle ownership from development to commissioning.

The role requires PLC programming experience, familiarity with Rockwell and Siemens toolchains, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or closely related field.
3+ years designing, commissioning, and maintaining industrial drive/automation systems.
Minimum 1 year PLC programming experience.

Responsibilities

Define and implement solutions for industrial system requirements and develop detailed specifications for drive and automation systems.
Design and test control software for PC, Allen Bradley, and Siemens PLC-based systems.
Program PLCs using Ladder Logic or Function Block Diagram.
Troubleshoot network connectivity during factory acceptance testing and commissioning.
Provide technical assistance to manufacturing and maintenance teams.
