Job summary

Chewy is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer for its Houston fulfillment center. The role combines hands-on troubleshooting with engineering assessment to optimize conveyors, sorters, scanners, and other automation equipment.

You will work with Operations leadership, vendors, and maintenance teams to analyze downtime, implement solutions, and ensure safety compliance across the facility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in industrial controls and automation.
• Strong PLC programming and electrical knowledge across AC/DC systems.
• Familiarity with Rockwell RSLogix and reading electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and solve complex automation equipment challenges to improve reliability and performance.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, motor drives, and control networks in a fast-paced facility.
• Collaborate with Operations and vendors to drive root-cause analysis and implement solutions.
• Provide first-level support for off-hours emergencies and mentor technicians.
