Corning Incorporated in the United States is seeking an IT professional to manage, modify, and develop computer systems used to manufacture optical fiber, participating in or leading projects to meet plant objectives and drive cost reductions. You will work with engineers and production staff to ensure reliable operation of automated controls, support process improvements, and may provide training.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science; or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in a technical role or relevant experience.
• Knowledge in programming skills such as VB, .NET, C, real-time systems or similar.

Responsabilidades

• Assist engineers to provide production support and troubleshooting for 24/7 manufacturing operations.
• Support process and product optimization/improvement efforts.
• Provide training for engineers and production staff on new processes, equipment, or control systems.
• Participate in capital projects.
• Some after hours, on-call support will be needed.
