Job summary

Epirus in California is seeking a Test Engineer to develop automated testbenches and special test equipment for high‑performance production hardware. You will design, produce, and support test systems and procedures enabling fast, automated production and testing of field‑able products, collaborating with a skilled engineering team.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with RF, digital, and power electronics, and a track record in production test environments.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years in Test Engineering or an advanced degree with no experience.
• Experience in production or manufacturing environments.
• Experience designing and troubleshooting automated testbenches for hardware.
• Familiarity with electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies).
• Experience with environmental qualification test plans.
• Strong documentation and test plan writing skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support test systems for RF, digital, and power electronics in production.
• Define test requirements and criteria to verify system/subsystem performance.
• Triage yield issues in production hardware and develop maintenance plans including calibration procedures.
• Run campaigns to qualify hardware under environmental conditions.
• Support fast prototyping by building engineering test sets for investigations.
