Job summary

Echodyne in Kirkland, WA is seeking a Sr Manufacturing Test Development Engineer to design, develop, and optimize test systems for high-volume radar production. You will lead the creation of automated test hardware and software, align with design, quality, IT and production teams, and improve yield and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have deep RF test experience, strong Python skills, and a track record delivering robust test solutions.

Qualifications

• RF/microwave measurement methods and instruments proficiency.
• Python programming proficiency.
• Ability to design and deploy complete automated test systems.
• Ability to interpret and apply assembly drawings, schematics, mechanical models, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of computer/instrument communication protocols.
• Able to develop PCBA designs for automated test systems.
• Experience developing test fixtures.
• Hands-on test system acceptance procedures including repeatability/reproducibility.
• Ability to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define radar manufacturing test requirements and test station design requirements.
• Design, implement, and maintain test hardware and software for the production line.
• Support test systems throughout the full lifecycle of development, implementation, scaling, and refinement.
• Work with manufacturing engineers, software engineers, quality engineers, design engineers, and IT to integrate and support test systems.
• Plan and execute evaluations of new or updated test processes to ensure accuracy, repeatability, and compliance with requirements.
• Select, evaluate and integrate test instrumentation.
• Monitor and analyze test data to drive continuous improvement in yield, throughput, and quality.
• Create documentation and provide training to production staff on test procedures and tools.
• Work with contract manufacturer partners to create, implement, and support test processes.
• Optimize test strategy for efficacy, efficiency and return of investment.
