Job summary

GFL Industries seeks a Residential Driver in Orlando to safely operate automated waste collection vehicles on assigned routes. You will perform pre-trip/ post-trip inspections, maintain accurate records, and communicate any issues to supervision. This role requires driving with a CDL and abiding by safety policies.

The ideal candidate has a valid CDL, 2+ years of driving experience, and strong communication skills for servicing customers and coordinating with dispatch.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required or in process.
• Two years of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive function criteria per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate a fully automated side loading truck to collect solid waste on route.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and required reports daily.
• Maintain route quality standards as directed by management.
• Communicate mechanical issues to supervisor and mechanic promptly.
• Work independently with minimal field supervision and attend safety meetings.
